Dining Al Fresco in Newton will remain a permanent option for diners. The Newton City Council approved a measure to make outdoor dining in public spaces permanent. Without this approval, Newton’s outdoor dining season couldn’t resume on April 1 when state provisions allowing restaurants to operate outdoors during the pandemic expire.
