Stella, a beloved South End restaurant that closed in May 2020, is returning but in a different location — Newton Centre, according to an article in the Boston Globe.
After 15 years, the original Stella Restaurant and Bar on Washington Street in the South End closed in May 2020, shortly after the pandemic took hold.
But now, Owner Evan Deluty is bringing the iconic spot to 549 Commonwealth Avenue in Newton Centre, next to Inna’s Kitchen and Blacker’s Bakeshop.
Stella’s was well-known for grilled pizza, seasonal Italian dishes and an extensive wine list.
Stella will open sometime this spring!
